10 Places I’d Like to See a Domain Conference

One of the best draws to attending an ICANN meeting is that they are held all over the globe to give everyone an opportunity to attend a meeting regardless of where they reside. In my opinion, as someone who has not yet been to an ICANN meeting, I think one major draw is being able to travel somewhere unique  for a business conference.

Domain name conferences have also been held in cities across the world, although they have been held in fewer locales than ICANN meetings. Domain name conferences have been held in New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver,  Queensland, Amsterdam, Seville, Nassau, New Orleans, and several other places. Conferences like TRAFFIC have not been afraid to try new venues, and I think that is great because it allows more people to attend.

I want to share 10 places I’d like to see a domain name conference held. I tried not to include any locations where a domain conference was already held, even if it was a one time occurrence. Obviously not all of these locations would be ideal for a domain name conference (nor would they likely draw enough of an audience to make them worthwhile), but they are places I would be interested in seeing a domain conference.

Top 10 domain conference locations:

  • Boston
  • Singapore
  • Austin
  • Panama City (Panama)
  • Hong Kong
  • Marrakesh
  • Lisbon
  • Santiago (Chile)
  • Dubai
  • Buenos Aires

Where would you like to see a domain conference held?

  1. How about Athens or Greek island like Mykonos or Santorini? We have a couple domainers here that could try to organize something.
