Could domain investing be the next form of "real estate"? Are you tempted to purchase domain name in order to get in on it? Just like property, to purchase domain name can be a worthy investment. Domains can be bought, traded, and sold just like real estate. However, understand that to purchase domain name is having the risk of involving yourself within a fickle market.
It is highly unlikely to get a cheap domain name registration from a domain name reseller, so it's up to you to find cheap domain name registration that may have not already been taken up. Many times, domain name resellers are asking for a hefty price in hopes of cashing in on the market. Perhaps, the obvious big bucks have already been taken. Most corporations that will willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars have already attained the their brand domain name. In fact, it is difficult to think of one organization who has not already purchase domain name of their choice.
So is domain investing still in existence? Some say yes, while others say that the game has ended. You're not as likely to make $10,000 on a domain name, but smaller amounts like $10-$50 during trades. Since many of the big domain names are taken, it's difficult to make the big instant bucks.
