Courchevel.com: Award Winning Website on EMD

I wanted to pass along what I think is a very cool website on an exact match geodomain name. When you have a chance, check out  Courchevel.com. The domain name and website are operated by Courchevel Tourisme, and they’ve  been owned by the tourism office for quite some time.

Courchevel is located in the French Alps, and is a fantastic ski resort. The well done website has been nominated for two sets of web development awards: CSSDA and AWWARDS.

Another ski resort company that understands the value of exact match domain names is Vail. They own Vail.com, Breckenridge.com, and BeaverCreek.com, which are the names of ski areas but also the names of the towns in which they are located. Vail also owns Snow.com, and I think they should consider buying Winter.com, which is currently for sale.

This isn’t really a domain name story, but looking at websites like Courchevel.com are inspiring.
