Domain Name Investing DC Area – Meet Up

Port City BrewingWhat are you doing on Wednesday 16th of March at 6:00 PM? Come drink craft beer and talk about domain names.

It’s FREE… except for the beer!

I’m kicking off a meet up group for people in the DC area who invest in domain names or who work in related industries and buy and sell domain names for themselves or clients.

Anyone who wants to learn more about domain names can attend. Talk, learn, listen, network, and drink beer.

“Did you know that the average growth of domain prices has been in excess of 7.3% per year over the last 10 years? 4-letter domains rise even faster, 9.3% growth per annum over the last 10 years” – Jackson Ellsgood, Escrow.com.

Starting at 6:00 PM we’re getting together in Alexandria, Virginia at Port City Brewery. The brewery is only 4 miles from Route 395 and 7 miles from the 14th Street Bridge.

If you’re new to domain investing below are a few sites investors in the industry use to learn and make buy and sell decisions.

  • DomainTools.com
  • Estibot.com
  • NamesCon.com
  • Namejet.com
  • DomainInvesting.com
  • Domaining.com
  • Google.com/adwords

There are ‘many’ more sites but these are a good place to start learning.

Forward this email to anyone you think might be interested. Bring a friend, coworker, or anyone you meet along the way.

Thank you for reading and drop me a note if you have questions or suggestions about the domain investing meet up or need help with anything – ted@ivh.com.

  1. Thanks for organizing, Ted. I’m sorry I can’t be there due to a prior commitment in Annapolis that evening, but I’ll help to spread the word.

Keep me posted on the next one! I’m not far from Old Town.

    • Hi Lee – Bring some copies of your domain list to the domain investing DC meet up. I’m sure you’ll find some interested buyers or others who may offer some ideas for finding buyers. Thanks!

  2. Hello,
Unfortunately, I’m in Scottsdale. But, if anyone wants a list, I can provide it. I have some great names in the marijuana and industrial hemp area. i.e. Mr420.Com, NyDab.Com, 420Phoenix.Com, 420Baltimore.Com, 420DC.Com, HempHires.Com, HempHardware.Com and many others. For me, circumstances require that I get out of the domaining business, so I’ve been openly looking for buyers and selling cheap for what they are. Being in DC, I have LoisLerner.Com too, but I’ll probably let it drop…..lol Thanks for the reply.

  3. 420DC.com Mr420.Com 420MDS.Com 420Drs.Com MJDrs.Com iDoobie.Com iExtracts.Com all $500 bucks ea. Bulk buys over 5 domains $100 bucks ea.
I really need cash quick. Family stuff. A good opportunity for anyone getting in the 420 space. Thanks
