Have You Sold a Weekly Brokerage Listing Domain Name?

6

For the last several months, domain brokers have posted their new and greatly reduced price domain names on my blog on Wednesday afternoons. A couple of months ago, I opened the comment section up for visitors to list their domain names for sale.

A few people have mentioned that they have sold domain names from their listings, and I think that is great. That’s the purpose of the weekly post, and I hope it continues to help visitors with sales and acquisitions.

Last week, a reader asked if names have been sold, and although I’ve been told that they have, I didn’t have specific examples to provide him. I want to reach out to you to see if you could share whether you’ve sold a name that you listed here as a result of your listing. There is no reason for you to list what name you sold or for how much. I don’t report sales prices, and you certainly are under no obligation to do so either.

This is more a matter of curiosity, and it will also justify the value in opening the comment section to people to post their domain names for sale. It can be annoying to moderate these comments, as many people don’t seem to be able to follow directions. If these posts are producing sales, then I will most likely keep it going so you can list your domain names for sale.

Again, no need to share what you’ve sold or for how much. I want to make sure that it’s worth continuing to post these articles on a weekly basis.

    Hello,

I think continuing to keep open the comment section to people to post their domain names for sale is something that gives also more credit than you already have, cuz today there are sometimes domains offered really for gift prices.

But more than this, I think you should start a new weekly listing (or a new section of your blog..) for those who want to offer their premium domains for lease: able webmasters could find chances to make a lot of money… I know a couple of them running really leader websites on generics (on ccTLDs) having nothing more than the webpages they made and some reliable suppliers.

    Thank you anyway.

P.S. I didn’t say if I have sold something or not in the past because I never listed domains for sale before (but probably I will list some very discounted domain if you keep your weekly listing…)

Have not listed any domain for sale but great blog, keep the weekly listing open my opinion, Im sure it attracts many visitors who want to either view or list names. Starting a new blog/listing for Leasing Domains would be a ++ I believe. I think Leasing is the way of the future…

    Hi Elliot

I sold one for $xxx – a dot org domain: Arabica

Had some low offers on a couple of others.

Sold another domain in the past due to the buyer seeing it in a comment on your blog, it was some time ago now (not one of your weekly brokerage posts). That lead made me $xxx, so again it was a low value sale (but I still appreciate the lead that got me the sale!).

    Hope that’s helpful.
