HilcoDomains.com Completes First Auction

HilcoDomains.com completed its first auction last week, and I have the results to share. The company sold LOA.com for $21,000, LOA.net for $1,000 and Essentials.com for $32,000. Although the singular Essential.com did not sell at auction, interested buyers may contact the company to purchase the domain name privately ($25,000 minimum).

According to Dmitriy Chemlin, Director of Digital Assets at Hilco Streambank, “membership spiked in the days leading up to the auction with a good mix of both end users and domain investors. Both the end users and domain investors participated in the auction.” I am interested to see if an end user buyer acquired LOA.com and/or Essentials.com.

Future auctions on HilcoDomains.com are set to begin in a couple of weeks, and the company has added domain names for sale at buy it now prices in a variety of industries, including finance, real estate, and automotive. Some of the domain names that are listed for sale include RealtyBlog.com, CoolPoints.com, FinanceGuys.com, FederalHomes.com and additional domain names.

Domain investors interested in submitting domain names for auction may do so by emailing the names to info@hilcostreambank.com. The company will contact the owners of domain names it believes will do well on the platform. I have been told that the company will be holding small auctions (like the most recent auction) to give maximum exposure to the domain names listed for sale. This means the company will likely be very picky about the domain names it choose to list at auction.
