Juan Diego Calle Receives Miami Ultimate CEO Award

Juan Diego Calle, CEO of .CO Internet S.A.S., the company that operates the .CO Registry, was presented with a Miami Ultimate CEO Award from the South Florida Business Journal. Nine Miami-Dade County CEOs were awarded in the event held last night at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, Florida.

The South Florida Business Journal sought out nominations back in April for this annual award, and the winners were announced in May. The award is given to “exceptional CEOs who have set the standard in the corporate community, including civic leadership and charitable contributions.”

Other winners this year include the CEO of One Sotheby’s International Realty, Emilio Estefan, President and CEO of City National Bank of Florida, and other well respected business leaders in the community.

Congratulations to Juan for this honor.

    • So, I take back my congratulations, Calle. I guess you have read my opinions about .co. therefore you dont’t like them? That’s fine. You dont’ have to accept my congratulations. 😉

    • Okay, I’m sure you are right Elliot. I give back the well deserved congrats. They did do a great job in re-launching their extension; is just that the nature of the internet makes it very difficult to compete with .com

Anyone who points that out, as I do from time to time, is basically stating the facts, not that I am anti-other extensions. After all, I still own some good .co names, and no other extensions except .com.

    • My personal opinion is that his company has done an incredible job of building and growing the .CO Registry. Not only that, but his team loves working for/with him.

Feelings about the .CO extension aside, he is one of the top entrepreneurs in our business.

    • I hope you are right, Elliot. He comes across here as nice to people who are willing to kiss his ass, and I am not one of those people. I call it like it is.

      But, let’s move on…
