Kathy Nielsen Leaves Sedo to Join Dot Green

Kathy Nielsen worked at Sedo for nearly seven years in a variety of roles, most recently as VP Business Development in Sedo’s Registry Services group. I noticed a change on Kathy’s LinkedIn page, and  she is now listed as Executive Director of Registry Operations and Channel Relations at Dot Green Community, Inc.

I reached out to Kathy to get more information about this change, and here’s what she had to say:

“After almost 7 years at Sedo, I decided it was time to move on. Over the past 2 1/2 years working with new gTLD Registries, large and small, it became clear to me that was where I wanted to be. I’m thrilled to be joining the dotGreen team. I have a deep respect for Annalisa Roger, the founder and President. Her strong ties with individuals and organizations in the green, sustainable environment world, as well as her respect within the ICANN community, make her a natural leader for this organization. Her vision to help increase awareness of green causes through the use of .green domain names paired with her strong ties in the Green community, made this Registry a clear choice for me.

I’ll miss Sedo and all my great colleagues, and wish them all the best. But I’m looking forward to this exciting new chapter in my life where my job is not just a job, I’ll be making a difference.”

Kathy will be working directly with Dot Green founder and CEO, Annalisa Roger.  According to a press release that was just released by Dot Green, David Maddocks, Board Director of DotGreen Community said “We believe Kathy’s outstanding domain and digital advertising experience combined with Annalisa’s deeply rooted interest in and respect for the Green community, will complement each other tremendously.

I wish Kathy all the best in her new role at Dot Green. The entire press release announcing this news is posted below:
