Lowell Project: Beautifying the Site

Enticing visitors to want to visit Lowell, Massachusetts will be one function of Lowell.com. Since many visitors to the website may have never stepped foot in Lowell before, the website will need to give visitors a good feel for the city. Posting updated photographs is the best way to convey the feel of the city, and I plan to take my own photos in addition to partnering with a local photographer. I’ve detailed this aspect on the Lowell.com blog.

  1. I am not sure if I should comment yet on Lowell.com since it looks like a creation in progress. One thing you could get into motion is your brand logo. Go to designoutpost.com and for a couple hundred dollars you can have one made. It will give your site that initial energy and a symbol that will stick. Many of our logos were created there. Our Nashville.com logo one is our favorite.

    ***UPDATED BY ELLIOT***

    Hi Michael,
I unveiled my new logo here: https://www.domaininvesting.com/index.php/2008/01/03/the-lowell-project-lowellcom-logo-unveiled/
The main reason I haven’t begun branding is that I don’t believe the logo works with the WordPress template that is up, and I don’t want people to confuse the old site with my new site that is being developed offline. I am only keeping the current site up for SEO purposes, as I don’t want it to get delisted.
