Michelle Jenneke Has Twitter Account But Not Her Domain Name

Michelle Jenneke is a hurdler from Kenthurst, New South Wales, Australia. As you can see in the video embedded above for your enjoyment reference, Ms. Jenneke has become internationally famous in the last two weeks as a result of her warmup routine at the Junior World Championships for track and field in Barcelona.

Ms. Jenneke seems to have a Twitter account, but unfortunately, it appears that she did not register MichelleJenneke.com. According to Whois records, MichelleJenneke.com was registered on July 19 (the day after the infamous video was posted on You Tube), and the registrant appears to be using some sort of privacy service. There is a website on the domain name, but it seems limited in scope right now.

Of course Ms. Jenneke doesn’t need MichelleJenneke.com for a personal/professional website, but it can certainly help and make it easier for people to find her and connect.

Hopefully ย Olympic break out athletes will have the foresight to buy their .com domain names!

Thanks to Alan Dunn for the tip!

  1. Elliot,

As cute as she is, and millions of views made her an Internet phenom last week, but she only won the heat and placed 5th in the finals. 99% sure she’s not on the Olympic team.

  2. Thank you Elliot. As for Michelle, I promise you I was rooting for her as hard as anyone in the finals. Big fan. I love the track and field girls. So cute, so in shape. I have a thing for Allison Felix too. Don’t tell my wife.

  3. Here I thought all the Michelle Jenneke twitter accounts were bogus. But she did open one a couple days ago. There were, however, 16 fake ones.

  4. Good to see a happy face. Don’t really see what all the hype is over a .com in her name. Most folk google search don’t they?

A .Me would be more suitable anyway, or .sport and lot’s of other dot dibble dee dot’s…
Sometimes the .com is too austere, especially when you have and soon will be having more options.

    • I disagree… Everyone around the world knows .com. Far fewer know alternative extensions like .ME.

If you could buy Howard.com or Howard.ME and the price was the same for whatever reason, which would you choose for a website?

      • I disagree…They do in 2012, give it a couple of years and the .com will fade away from top spot. The single short word .com is always good, without question these will hold a nostalgic value. But a two or three word .com with a xxxx tag , no, I am happy to go somewhere more applicable. The .com is very appropriate at times, but is not specific enough, but with suitable SEO a .im .Me or .So will ne a pleasant alternative. If I recall I believe your not entertaining the new gTLDS? But this is a push, not just a few ccTLD’s coming on the market, this will be something the general public will know about…and just as evolution, some make it, some don’t and there will be plenty that will, thus weakening the boring three string .com

Furthermore, I always market a .Me as .Me or .me and not .ME as this represents the disease Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. But thats just my anal view.

Good to agree to disagree and all, best Howard.

Oh, I would be very happy to own a more appropriate alternative in my name, however I have been speculating since 1999 and still have a little accord with a .com but not so much nowadays.
