NamesCon 2016 Sponsor Spotlight on NamePros

Excited about NamesCon? We are expecting 1,200 conference attendees at this year’s conference. NamesCon 2016 runs from January 10-13 at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas. Conference passes and hotel rooms are still available.

This morning’s interview is with Edward Zeiden, Managing Director of the popular NamePros domain forum. You are welcome to ask Edward any questions you may have in the comment section.

Thank you to Edward for taking the time to do this interview!

What is your company’s mandate, what sets you apart?

NamePros is the largest community of domainers in the world. Our company strategy and vision set us apart from the crowd with free resources for entrepreneurs.

Who benefits from your product or service?

We provide services to a wide gamut of individuals. Expert domainers looking to network with other elite investors, new domainers looking to learn, or even first-time entrepreneurs searching for their startup’s name and domain expertise.

What factors have contributed to your company’s growth and success?

Preserving our free based business-model fosters our network effect to attract new members and benefit those within the community. Our volunteer moderators and around-the-clock development team make this a possibility. In this last year, our community has produced quite a bit of premium content via our blog as well.

How would you define your company strategy and vision?

Our goal is to help unite and expand the domain industry by offering instrumental resources and services, whether it be by improving our existing services or creating new ones from scratch. We’re committed to helping domainers and entrepreneurs succeed.

How will your company engage attendees at the upcoming NamesCon?

Last year we dipped our foot into the NamesCon pool by performing some videography and interviews. This year we’re going all out and sponsoring a Speakers Corner lounge to record professional video interviews. We’re also recording footage of the major events, keynotes, and panels. For those who won’t be able to make it to NamesCon this year, we’re also recording some live video streams and tweeting significant events.

Can you tell us about your first time at NamesCon and what you got out of it?

Attending NamesCon for the first time is an eye opening experience. It’s equivalent to a family reunion. You’ve heard of these people before, talked to them, and possibly have done some deals with them, but you only see them once a year, and NamesCon is it. You never think that one place can hold hundreds of domain investors and brand strategists until you see it for yourself. It was a great opportunity just speaking with industry peers and meeting people from around the world for the first time in person.

What are you most looking forward to at the upcoming conference?

By far the most anticipated moment for the NamePros team at NamesCon will be revealing one of our large-scale projects that we’ve been steadily working on for years. Aside from that, forging new long-lasting relationships and capturing great moments on camera would be great. I would love it if everyone, including myself, could learn something from each segment I produce while attending NamesCon.

Where can attendees find out more about your company, product or services while at NamesCon?

Don’t wait until you’re already at the conference to start meeting people and schedule meetings. Create a free account on NamePros, introduce yourself to our massive community, and then let them all know you’re going to NamesCon. People often schedule meetings with each other in advance so they’re guaranteed to have a few interactions when they arrive.

Stay up-to-date by subscribing to the NamePros Blog for trending news leading up to the conference and follow us on Twitter for live updates while you’re there.

And of course, stop by the Speakers Corner where we’ll be recording video interviews throughout the conference.
