Ryan Colby Offers “Brokerage Immersion Course”

On his Domain Academy Facebook page, Ryan Colby is promoting a domain name “brokerage immersion course,” which is “designed to teach qualified students the roadmap on how to earn a 6 figure income as a professional domain broker.” The course was created by Ryan Colby to help people learn about starting a domain brokerage business.

I reached out to Ryan to ask about the program, and he told me, “The program mixes highly personalized coaching, group coaching and written materials.” He also added that “It’s not for everyone and is focused for serious students.”

The program is fairly expensive with a cost of $2,500 to attend, and attendance is limited to 12 students. The class will run from Tuesday, October 7th – Saturday, November 1st. I would guess that future classes may be offered if this one is a success, but I don’t know for sure. An interview is required prior to being accepted into the course.

Ryan Colby is the founder of the domain brokerage, Outcome Brokerage. According to his LinkedIn page, he previously worked as a domain broker at Sedo and as Senior Vice President Of Acquisitions & Divestments at Domain Holdings Group.

If you have an interest in this course, you can learn more about it at the Domain Academy Facebook page.

  1. I was in on his first class. Ryan had a long list of trainings he said he would deliver in the period, there must have been at least 20+. He delivered about 5 of then went missing, came back and apologized for being busy brokering some names. He states that students will get something like 12 conference calls and a weekly personal one-on-one call I was at his only 2 conference calls in the period and waited on the phone for his third one that he didnt attend. I had two one-one one calls in the period. He had an online conference class scheduled for early in the week did not turn up to lead the class. Says he is there for his students and they can message him anytime but rarely answers his pm and if he does he says he will get back to you on the question.I had many questions that I never got an answer to. Have copy of messaging history to prove this. Very disappointed Caveat Emptor!

  2. I expected to learn from Ryan how to source and secure Ultra Premium Domains to get involved in and possibly begin marketing. Wanted to start building my own list and asked Ryan about this a number of time but got no answer that was of any assistance. Ryan Pmed me on FB and asked me to endorse his Course and give a testimonial… below is a copy of his request:

Hi David, if you make a public plug for my Domain Academy Group I’ll be sure to get you some domain listings soon.
    Friday 9:56am

I didnt want his bribe of Domain Listings, I thought I was there to learn how to do this myself and asked him for this on more than one occasion??

  3. Hi David,

With all due respect, you never paid for the course training. Since I love teaching, on occasion I like to mentor folks with a serious interest, but you can’t expect to get services or advanced coaching without paying for it. That wouldn’t be fair to the past students who have invested in the training and have also provided many testimonials in terms of the coaching program they received.

  4. It’s a selective program, and we determine if the student is a good fit beforehand. This is a niche market so it’s not for everyone. I’ve had 7 students go through to date and we have a private Facebook Group where we continue to collaborate.
