SedoSedo domain broker Ryan Colby just listed a number of exclusive domain names for sale, and the portfolio is pretty stunning. This is not the full list of names, but listed below are quite a few of the names. Additionally, the Sedo link is a tracking link not an affiliate link.

  1. Congrats to Ryan for having succeed to convince Phil to sell some of his premium domains.

Now I think they should be priced for end-users, so we can watch but don’t touch!

  2. WOW, what a fantastic list, this should be very interesting to see what they sell for

Thats the guy who owns AutoInsurance.com & UnitedStates.com

    Amazing

  3. @ Michael

Just because they’re all listed, doesn’t mean the owner wants to sell them all. Perhaps one or two big sales is all that’s wanted/needed and then the names will be taken down from the market. IMO, it would be easier to list a whole bunch and sell a couple than pick just a couple to sell.

  4. I know alot about Phil. We were hunting the same names in the summer of 1997. He was one of the few that knew about the seven day cache on dropping names. While I was sending in registrations by hand every hour, Phil was smart enough to hire collage students for $6 an hour to do registions at a greater volume. When the names starting appearing in our email as confirmation of ownership, it was like winning at the slot machine.

I called Phil summer of 97 to speak with him and told him he had just made himself a millionaire. Of course he didn’t believe it at the time. I remember most of the premiums he owns which include names like democrat.com and republican.com. Our quest was the same at the time and your article brings back a lot of memories when this industry was at its infancy. I am glad he is finally selling his names since he does not engage in our industry and these names need the development they deserve.

  5. It would be interesting to see a rundown of the types of offers he turned down over the years for some of those.

  6. Holidays.com is the equivalent of “Vacations.com” in many wealthy, English speaking parts of the world. It’s probably underrated on a list like that.

Dad is a ridiculous brandable- iirc, Egg and Boy both sold at the depths of the market bottom in (09, was it?) for pretty fair prices.

  7. I like Nuts.com (Great brandable AND product keyword-marketing appeal) and Government.com has all kinds of development angles.

In terms of Italy vs. Italia the global searches are a wash between them, but in the US (where ad spending dominates) Italy is 16+X bigger than Italia.

Also Fiji.com is not only a great Geo, it is also a CVCV.com so that has to add to it’s value as well 😉

  8. I think we have seen the

    top

    for .com domains

People are trying to dump these domain names before the money shifts more over to .CO

    here is additional proof:

SnapNames Premium Keyword Domain Auction – the second auction in a row without a bid

After SnapNames April Showcase auction ended last week without bids, yesterday another SnapNames auction ended without a bid on any domain name.
Even though SnapNames premium keyword domain auction featured some quality domain names,it seems that no one was interested to buy any domain name .
However, there were many mediocre domains listed in this auction and the prices for most domain names were too high.
Many of the domain names listed had indeed ridiculous reserves . ApplyJobs.com had a $22,000 reserve price.
It seems that all domain names listed in this auction are owned by Nokta Internet Technologies .

  9. Well, why else has snapnames done 2 premium name auctions and not a single bid in 2 events in a row.

Plus we are seeing a deluge of premiums because obviously they all feel it’s the top,

Especially now that .Co is doing well.

  10. Nice domains…but asking way toooooo much $,$$$,$$$

I made mid 6 figure offers on couple of domains in that list…and they want 7 figures+

    good luck!

  11. Hi, Elliot.

I’m trying to get in touch with Ryan Colby to list one of my domains. Do you have his e-mail address?
