Sedo’s Great Domains auction for the month of July ended yesterday afternoon, and I published the list of sales below. The largest sale was for rechtsanwälte.de, which sold for 14999 EUR, which is about $16,436.43 USD at today’s exchange rate. I did a Google search, and it looks like the German word “rechtsanwälte” means attorney or lawyer in English, which helps to explain the value of the domain name.
Interestingly, of the 13 domain names that sold in the auction, 6 of them are .DE ccTLD domain names. Also interestingly, only 5 of the 13 domain names that sold were .com domain names. I don’t recall seeing an auction like this with fewer than half of the sales being .com.
Keep in mind that the auction just ended yesterday, and it’s highly probably that these deals have not yet closed. Once payment is made and the domain names are transferred, Sedo will report them to NameBio and DNJournal.
Here are the results from this month’s auction:
- rechtsanwälte.de EUR 14999
- vestidosdefiesta.com EUR 4000
- strategiespiele.de EUR 839
- töpfern.de EUR 666
