Tracy Fogarty Launches Domain Brokerage and Consulting Firm

Beginning in 2013, Tracy Fogarty was a domain name broker with Domain Holdings, representing the owners of valuable domain names. This morning, Tracy updated her LinkedIn profile  to announce the launch of eNaming.com, a domain name consulting firm and domain brokerage she founded on her own.

According to its website, eNaming.com will help clients on both sides of deals. The company will offer domain name sales brokerage services, and it will also work with clients to acquire domain names on their behalf. Tracy will also use her experience to provide domain name consulting services to her clients.

While looking through the new website, I saw that Tracy published a blog post announcing the launch of her business this morning. In the blog post, Tracy shared that this will be the first time she is in business for herself:

“A new beginning always involves leaving something behind and embracing something new and different, and in my case, boldly and excitingly different — For the first time in my whole life, I’m going to be my own boss!

For the past 20 years I’ve been employed by one company or another, most recently Domain Holdings. I’ve had a blast serving my clients, taking on new challenges, learning, and contributing. I’m thankful and grateful to all my co-workers and colleagues, clients, and acquaintances. I couldn’t be where I am today without you.”

Tracy has represented Sahar Sarid’s company on domain name negotiations for quite some time. I reached out to Sahar, and he shared some thoughts with me about the launch of her company:

Tracy is passionate about domain names and branding and it shows through the energy and enthusiasm she brings to every negotiation. Her easy going, friendly personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that invites buyers and sellers to openly discuss their desires and needs. Tracy has worked tirelessly to get to where she is today and I truly believe she deserves all the success that comes her way – she earned it. As Tracy’s friend and colleague I’m proud to be Tracy’s first client in eNaming.com and I wish her great success moving forward!

Tracy is the latest domain broker to leave the comfort of an established domain name brokerage to form her own business. Brokerages such as Domain Holdings, Sedo, and Afternic have produced some excellent domain name brokers who have gone off to head up other companies. I predict that Tracy’s new company will be a big success for her and her clients.

  1. Her site looks great! Just dont like all the ‘unavailables’ in the listings as that doesnt seem to offer much value. Wish her all the best!

  2. I would guess one would get sick of closing 6-7 figures for the house, and think going out on their own they can do $4-5M in sales and gross $400-$500K doing so, sure beats a salary, and a small bonus.

  3. Elliot-a little scoop for you the general press hasn’t picked up yet. Hillary Clinton is Tweeting with a .io domain name. Where’s that guy on your blog that told me I was an idiot for buying these numeric .io names? lol
