Weekly Brokerage Listings – 10/2

78

The new brokered domain listings for the week are listed below. If you have an interest in purchasing one of the domain names below, contact the broker directly. I am not involved in (nor do I benefit from) transactions.

You may post one name for sale in the comment section. As always, the name must be new to the market (not promoted elsewhere prior to the listing), it must have a buy it now price, and you must leave a way to contact you. If you don’t follow these rules, your comment will be deleted. You may have it listed on a site like Sedo or Afternic concurrently. People can like or dislike comments, so if that bothers you, it’s probably best that you list them elsewhere.

Cax.com is holding a special .ME domain sale event with lots of .ME dictionary words up for sale. If you don’t see any names that you like here, check out Nokta Domains, a company that has a huge portfolio of domain names for sale and lease.

Gin.com – $250,000 – Sedo (Dave Evanson)
Runway.com – $300,000 – Outcome Brokerage
Gab.com – $750,000 – Media Options
LuckyDice.com – $20,000 – Domain Agents

You could sell this domain to the right buyer but this seems like a better domain for development to me. Put up good (funny) content and monetize it.

Everyone enjoys funny distractions during the work day. You could put up some really funny quotes, images or videos or even invite users to post their own funny stuff. The phrase reminds me of some of those humor sections Readers Digest used to have; this could be a more modern version of that with mass appeal.

Why is it that ALL the listing here have more Dislikes than Likes? Is everyone out of touch that lists here or whats going on? Just asking.

In reply to Russell | October 4th, 2013 at 3:40 am

      Elliot Silver

I don’t see a single name I’d buy at the prices they’re listed at (or even close if I am being honest). Do you? For the record, LawyerPortland.com has more likes than dislikes, although I much prefer PortlandLawyer.com.

Have a look at past posts like this. Good names at good prices get far more likes than dislikes.

I too agree with Russell. I think along with dislike a user should also say what is the average price one would be ready to buy the listed domain. That way atleast sellers of domain get an indication regarding the possible price they could sell the domain. Some domains are good, brandable and promotable. But a dislike does not mean that the domain is bad it might mean the price is high. So if uses could also write why they dislike the domain then it would help the seller understand his mistake and take corrective actions.

‘I don’t see a single name I’d buy at the prices they’re listed at”
    ===
But kep in mind,, not all domains are priced at domainer/wholesale prices..some are at end user pricing and some are “in between” …just as most of the domains from the “major brokers” in your weekly posts are at “end-user pricing” (before our listings graciously permitted in your follow-on “Comments section”)… just say’in…….

My LosAngeles.Pro could conceivably sell for the price listed (not pie in the sky) to an end-user or Web developer.. it’s a major GEO/city that actually makes sense in a .PRO

    Cheers !

    October 4th, 2013 at 6:29 pm

      Elliot Silver

Yes, any name can sell for any price in theory.

Everyone has their own opinions on why they would “like” or “dislike” listings, and I was speaking for myself. I don’t generally “dislike” comments because I don’t want to dissuade anyone from sharing their opinion. However, my own guideline would be liking a name I think is good and/or priced fairly and disliking a name that makes no sense.

I’m taking dislikes positively and understanding this listing as a free appraisal tool. More dislikes a sign to not renew or lower the price and likes may indicate some returns. Also, I agree with Elliot that “Good names at good prices get far more likes than dislikes.”

    October 6th, 2013 at 2:57 am

      HowieCrosby

@Irfan I wouldn’t take the usual caste of negative dislikers on this blog as a guide of for overall appraisal.

Unfortunately, I think you’ll find there are a group of non-positive types who will only find z.com a like on here lol.

You get so many dislikes here from the
domainers because they want you to drop your domain so they can get it for $10.
Once I had a “generous” offer from a domainer who offered me $20 just to take my domain off my hands pointing also that I will make a quick 100% profit.
Few weeks later I sold it for $3 000
