I think one thing is pretty universal when it comes to domain investors… we are all proud to own a few specific domain names. Without a doubt, I have a few favorite domain names among the 500 +/- domain names that I own.
Here are my top five domain names (you can see more on my website):
- EventManagement.com (would sell it)
- Torah.com (not for sale)
- Burbank.com (not for sale)
- SHS.com (not for sale)
- DogWalker.com (not for sale)
What are your top five domain names, and are they for sale?
Baseball.net – for sale
VXZ.com – for sale
Traffic.me – for sale
Locksmith.me – for sale
CAR.mu – for sale
3DMovie.com
DomainScoop.com
RobbiesBlog.com – Not For Sale
AutomaticHandDryers.com – For Sale
MyDietTips.com – For Sale
wLawyers.com – For Sale
Compensation.us – For Sale
you really need to learn alot in this industry, as you have already started blogging but still make elliot your mentor coz your name quality is much worse.
Jin,
I think RobbiesBlog.com happens to be a great blog.
The interviews are great and he covers the same type of stories like many others and also bring news before several other domainers.
His domains arent perfect buy lets see some of yours…
Thats the issue with this industry so many people want to tell people they suck at something when they dont have a clue themselves!

OstrichBurgers.com
Ceremoniously.com
Musicfy.com

Hi Brian,
I think you have some awesome names!!
good names except for earth.com… earth is going downhill quickly.
What would you sell DUIAttorney.com for?
Matt – they paid seven figures for the business, so I guess that’s a starting point 😉
https://www.domaininvesting.com/innovation-hq-acquires-duiattorney-com-in-seven-figure-deal-3983
It’s a good starting point . . . what a solid domain name! (As an attorney, I’m drooling over it).
That is an amazing top5!
All for sale.
BullionCoins.net
BankNear.me
Fifteen.me
CreativeBanking.com
Headed.net
LLLL.me
Zorbing.me
SkiScarf.com
Citations.me
CanyonView.net
Would sell them.
@eb… when you say not for sale… isn’t what you really mean is that it’s not for sale at anything a sane person would think is a reasonable price?
Maybe on some names I own, but others may be encumbered rendering them not for sale.
Student.com
Student.net
Springbreak.net
Springbreak.org
AdvertisingSales.com (for sale)
Very nice! Student.com seems to do a ton of traffic too.
doob.com (most inquiries)

So, is this a top 5 personal favorites, or top 5 perceived market values question? As I look through my domains, I find those lists can be wildly divergent.

Just listing one for now:
HybridRemote.com
Just started a twitter site and Youtube channel for HybridRemote, but I have too many websites in development. The VP of a chip manufacturer took the trouble to answer my questions, so it’s up to me to develop and explain, what is a hybrid remote, since the tech is up-and-coming.
Here is a hybrid remote:
If and when Apple comes out with all devices connecting to an Apple monitor large enough to act as a TV as well, then I’ll buy some toys. I might be waiting a long time. Then again, I might not. : \
Another hybrid remote from Logitech:
Right now, I have 3 remotes just for the tv, vcr, and the settop box. One controls picture/input, the other the vcr/dvd player, and the 3rd switches satellite channels.
There HAS to be something better!
Nice—Does it override all manual entries needed for Samsung TV’s and include email access & phone, take photos and video and stream them immediately? I like Logitech.
I’m waiting. 🙂 And I’m rooting for Apple. 🙂
I bought a Samsung Smart TV 6500 series 46″ LED for $1.097.00 last week and returned it……the resolution, manual entry and the well…I’m waiting for Apple. : \
Um…..sorry, no more comments as it’s offpost.
Ok, one more name—-ontopic:
www. lgbtqia.com
People still have VCR’s?
@ Patti, It’s in the works with Apple – adapting European tech for the US market, as usual, but putting a patent on it!
@ Mike H, You don’t have VCR? Do you have DVR instead?

:
websites(humans too) that provide useless garbage BS info and trying to sell something that you don’t need and wanting your money and more money!!! Is your website the self-serving time-waster useless BullShitWebsite?–Wasting Time Online!!!
I never would have known u had a huge Jade tree to photograph if I didn’t go to ur site—–unless of course, BullS, you are misrepresenting urself online.

STFU.com – give me an idea for a website
STFU.com is a great domain. There are countless idiotic comments all over the internet. I would search for the best ones and place them on STFU.com. If I owned STFU.com, that’s what the site would be. Make it a destination for people looking for funny, stupid comments.
I still like my .tv’s!
Mammals.tv
Approved.tv
Lmfao.tv
GoldenRetriever.tv
and of course:
MichaelConner.tv
😉

Nitty.com is super catchy.. I like that alot.. I would accept a 5 figure offer though if I owned it, for sure.
MyPlayerCard.com
HardTruths.com
DigitalBoardGame.com
DaughterWedding.com
MyMovieSet.com
I like them.. Digital Board Game is a bit generic for it’s cause but it’s not bad. “MyMovieSet” sounds like a real PC game, one of those games where you create and shoto a movie with characters.. I bet there will be a company interested in that at some point.
HardTruths.com is definately catchy and easy to remember. That would make a nice ‘funny image’ blog, and you could make a twitter account to accompany it, which just posts “hard truths” lol.
BUYLIVECRABS.com
SWIMTRUNKS.net
PRIVATEMARKET.net
KITCHENOUTLET.net
SWIMTRUNKS.NET
All are for sale.

never had any offers just what i believe to be ok domains….
xm.tv
DubaiDeals.com
unwrap.me
americans.us
usinfluenza.com
These all have potential! I like americans.us .. I would make an offer for sure, but i recently spent a bit on domains so I gotta hold off for a while lol. What price range would you sell it for?
Thanks for comment on Americans.us I have a half dream of making this one of the best social sites on the net….but it being a .us is a serious thorn.Potential is there if you committed a major crime, Then it was mentioned that you kept screaming it as you assaulted police officers…it would have probably 2230 visits in one day then collapse. I just stare at it and think of the possibilities. Thanks again for noticing this fine little domain Aussie…oh and don’t forget if you are down under you can’t legally own her….
My top 5 are just my favorite 5 domains.

@mark Fiction.com Published.com— good solid names! 😉
Sheesh! I was going to add mine (only two-tier commercial dot com’s and a few nn’s) but the page is looking a bit like a link-pharm at the moment— all comments/replies on the one page!.

Folks, what Elliot is trying to say in a politically correct way is…your domains/sites are “BullS”
You can’t deny hybridremote. HybridRemote technology hasn’t arrived, yet. That’s the nature of speculating with hand regs . . . Future trend is a festivus for the rest of us! 🙂
Here some of mine, BUT I admit I am not a domainer or a pro 🙂
GarageStorage.biz
Sweepstake.me
CashFollow.com
VanityURL.net

There is such a huge gap in quality between amazing domains and awful domains. There are some potential seven figure domains, and many others not even worth a hand reg.
Brad
AGREE and calling the kettle black, all yours are awful.
Looking at this thread I realize most people can’t recognize what makes a quality domain name. I guess you are one of them.
Brad
what makes you a BS expert?

Sorry, i mistyped è.com instead of ù.com. We actually own ù.com.
A few great domains posted here, but also some real head scratchers. Makes for interesting reading – thanks Elliot.
Right now my favourite site is TennesseeWhiskey (dot com)
The upcoming project I’m most excited about is AlsaceLorraine (dot com)
If I put together a top ten list, most of them wouldn’t be for sale.
Elliot, I have to say, I am absolutely DUMBFOUNDED …in fact, if I didn’t know any better, I’d swear I was being punked!!!!
I am absolutely riveted – well actually,
more like shocked and dismayed – by the
quantity and quality of replies to this
post.
Fully 98% of these names are of such
incomprehensibly poor quality as to defy
logic. 98% of these names have no commercial viability or value whatsoever – whether it be for resale; for development; or for any other conceivable purpose. (Hell, most of
these names would be utterly indefensible even if they had been acquired for no other purpose than “private entertainment” …for example, as part of some purely not-for-profit “collector’s hobby”)
I have to say I think this single post is perhaps a better barometer of the state of the domain industry than ANYTHING else I’ve read in the past year. Towards that end, I can’t help but think that the overwhelming majority of self-styled “domainers” that presently occupy the domain space have
absolutely no business being here.
Chelsea…what makes you a BS expert in domains?
BullS… the fact that you even feel compelled to ask that question – and cannot, yourself, independently assess the abysmal quality of virtually ALL of these domains – only serves to underscore my original thesis.
If you honestly can’t (or won’t) see it for yourself, then just take it for granted and trust me on this one! 🙂
Once again, fully 98% of these names are of such incomprehensibly poor quality as to defy logic, and have no commercial viability or value whatsoever. Period.
On the basis of that observation alone, it seems painfully obvious that the overwhelming majority of self-styled “domainers” who presently occupy the domain space really have no business being here …simply put, their interests would be vastly better-served pursuing other callings.
Don’t shoot the messenger…
Do you think HybridRemote is a good domain?

The whole domain industry is BS.
Who really makes money?
Registrars are laughing all the way to their banks.
Not to mention their associates.
Wherever there is easy money, or think there is easy money, watch them come.
I too was sucked in. Now I just watch and smile.
For starters, I sold 2 names yesterday/today: https://www.domaininvesting.com/names-for-sale-7338
I make my living selling domain names in the aftermarket. I’ve done pretty well.
I’m a relative amateur, but I started domaining in Jan 2011, and it’s been my sole means of support since then. I’ve managed to keep a roof over my head, put food on my table, pay my bills, and put money away, thank you very much. I think the mistake people make is thinking that it’s “easy money” when in fact it’s work! I put hours every day into research and learning. It’s like anything else, you get out of it what you put in.
My top 5:
1) salespicks.com – For sale
2) mortgagebazar.com – For sale
3) truehdapps.com – For sale
4) cashlessmedicalinsurance.com – For sale
5) chinawidget.com – For sale
my top 5, not for sale:
1) kochi.com
2) kerala.in
3) thiruvananthapuram.com
4) thrissur.com
5) palakkad.com
Kerala is an Indian State & tourist destination, others are cities in the state.
why my post attract more dislikes?
I just looked at your number 1 domain listed: Kochi.com
27,100 exact global monthly searches on GAKT
“Kochi is a major port city on the west coast of India” according to Wikipedia
Population: 612,343 city, 2,117,990 metro
To me that suggests your first domain at least (didn’t look at the rest) is a solid investment.
People probably don’t know what your domains are, or they’re jealous, either way not worth worrying about.
Some good names there. I wish I had my city name in .com
I guess most people in this thread never heard of these cities. Frankly I never heard of them either. But then again I’m not from India.
They have good search stats though and I’m sure people living or originated from india know they are decent domains.
clarklaw.biz
Our only name, but trying to figure out better one. Any suggestions?
Ed,
Do either of these interest you?
BestFamilyLaw.com
DivorceLawyerGroup.com
AttorneyNetwork.com is available
I think one of these might work for us. But really wonder if could afford the domain and the development necessary to make the best of it.
Still looking around. Maybe sometime on this Blog I will have a better domain if this thread comes up again… I hope so.
Sounds good. Let us know if wee can help.
I also have Injury.co, but that would probably best best for PI or a Chiropractor. I know it is “.co” but given the supply, it may be the most affordable option out there.

I hope ICANN and Whois finds your domain name and contact info….even if privatized—and forwards to the proper authorities—including tracing traffic users and busts a move. I’d rip you a new asshole myself, but I’d rather the guys in prison do that instead….wouldn’t want to get my hands dirty.
Huh? What did I miss?
…what’s it about, Patti?
Multiple choice question: Which domain name or names best describes the total breakdown of moral fabric in society?
Answer to be given at a WebFestGlobal in the future.
a. CLOUDPROJECTS.NET
b. IPMI.NET
c. MOLESTING.NET
d. ESCOMATE.COM
e. PIQAR.COM
patti,
I can understand your frustration over these domains but I simply don’t understand what wrong I have done in just purchasing this domains, some of them I have purchased for more than 1k$(in lot)
Coming to the point I want to clarify to you and all that I have just purchased the domain and I don’t have any intention to develop any site AGAINST society.
molesting.net can be a blog where people can share about their problems(anonymously) they face and how they recover from it. It can be helpful and educational to people so that they don’t fall pray to any such situation.
Will you/anyone sue wikipidia for sharing this link (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_abuse)?
I have another domain cocain.org which is under development where I would spread awareness about adverse effects of cocain and create a helpline for people who want to quit such harmful drugs and lead a normal life. Surely its a kind of non-profit
Am I doing anything wrong here? I would like you to comment or help me in improving this.
Think from the positive side, I can understand the negative side is like a dark well.
I have no intention of doing wrong so I am not worried about hiding my identity.
You talked about ICANN sending my details to authorities, Why would ICANN sell such domains If they want to sue persons purchasing these domains.
With due respect, thanks for talking time to review my domain.
I have to admit, until Rohit laid this out I didn’t know what patti knew that the rest of us didn’t. I know think she believes that he intended to use the domain molesting.net as some sort of site to promote molestation. Given her reaction, my guess is molestation has affected her life somehow.
I don’t know Rohit or what his intentions are with the site, but I think that until we know more, we should take his word for it that he intends to develop it as a self-help blog.
If that is the case, then I agree that the domain name is not ideal. “Molesting” infers the act is going on currently and is not a thing from he past. It also infers that the site visitor would be doing the molesting and is not a victim. A site for those victims of an act in the past would best be called “molested”, not “molesting”.
Rohit, given Patti’s reaction maybe others will have the same reaction, too. This may be a very inexpensive focus group study that helps you define a fla in your model. Be patient and consider other names.

hi patti,
i dont know you but different people have different thoughts.
the guy you wish to screw for Molesting.net may have bought that domain for speading social awareness regarding molestation at different scenarios. if that is the case then its a noble thought that guy is having.
dont just jump to conclusions on making new assholes on him, instead ask him first why he had that domain in the first place 🙂
